Hi I'm Shelby

I'm the oldest child of five. I love pizza. I love music and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a teenage girl who is all about finding who I am and trying to live my life according to the standards and teachings of the gospel. I love to have fun and have been told I have a good sense of humor. I am just another human being that loves to make people feel good and I enjoy doing things with others and learning about other people!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ benefits everybody, not just people who want it. In my own life, I have seen little miracles of my own that I later realized only came through Jesus Christ. The Atonement is the biggest blessing, because I know I'm not perfect and I have my more than enough of my fair share of mistakes. Jesus Christ knows us, and believe it or not, knows what is best for us. He knows how to help us, knows our strengths and weaknesses, and knows what we need in our lives at any given time, no matter the situation. Heavenly Father is always wanting to bless us and all we need to do is ask. Prayer is such a wonderful tool, and our Father in Heaven always answers. He is rooting for us, He wants us to succeed, and more importantly, He wants us to return back to live with Him. The gospel brings peace, the gospel blesses us, and it is always there as a constant reminder that each of us individually is important and is destined to be great because we have the help and love of our Heavenly Father, our Savior, and the Holy Ghost. With them together, we cannot fail.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel is not just a list of rules that you can and can't follow. There are blessing that come when we serve others, and that is one of the strongest ways to grow. I have come to enjoy completing service projects around the town which I live. I have served in presidencies in the Young Women, been in charge of activities in the Young Single Adult branch I go to, and I also have taught relief society. There are also times that I have taught others my faith in school by standing up for what I believe and treating others in a Christ-like manner.
