Hi I'm Sarah

I'm your cliche fluffy animal enthusiast, oatmeal raisin cookie lover, sentimental college student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from beautiful Boise, Idaho and currently a sleep deprived student at Utah State University. I am blessed to have a large support system that includes my parents, my older and younger sister, my friends and all of those I hold dear to my heart. I secretly love history, listening to other people, Harry Styles, singing in the car way too loud, and playing with people's hair. I love any and all dogs I meet and I dabble in arts and crafts when I'm feeling creative. This year I challenged myself to believe in who I am more and develop who I am emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I want to have more faith in my Heavenly Father and trust in His eternal perspective. Most of all, I want to believe in other people and believe that love, goodness, and kindness prevail. I have been called to serve in the Perth, Australia mission and I cannot wait to preach the gospel to some kangaroos!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised LDS but quickly came to realize that I had to gain my own personal testimony of Jesus Christ and come unto that knowledge for myself. I'm a Mormon because I believe in the "good news" our church brings! I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for me, just as He does for you. There is a purpose for each of us in this life, and God is there for us as we follow Him. I've known from a young age that living this faith makes me and my family happy. I am more confident in who I am and what I can do, less frustrated when I face life challenges, and at peace when I need comfort. This church has changed my life for the better!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an example. I am also active in church callings and I have been in the women's organization, Relief Society, to bring together women in the ward for spiritual lessons and fun activities. I've participated in various programs and do the things necessary for me to do to stay closer with my Father in Heaven.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It's a book of scripture that teaches about Jesus Christ and tells of His dealings and His visit to the ancient Americas. The Bible was written by and focused on the people who lived in and around Israel, spanning the time from the Creation of the world until shortly after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Like the Bible, the Book of Mormon is an ancient record of God’s teachings to His people, but it was written by prophets in America. While many of our questions and struggles are similar to those of biblical times, it only makes sense that a loving God would continue counseling His children with additional messages of hope and wisdom applicable to their lives. The Book of Mormon is exactly that: continued revelation from God that serves as a witness to the truths in the Bible and to the divinity and teachings of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon answers essential questions that we all have at some point: Is there life after death, and what’s waiting for us on the other side? What is the purpose of life, and how can I find happiness and peace now? Does God know me and hear my prayers? How can I become the best possible version of myself? I finished the Book of Mormon just recently and everything just clicked with me; everything made sense. Jesus said that He had "other sheep not of this fold" and it makes sense that He would make an effort to visit other people. I testify that He loves YOU. Show more Show less
