Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in sunny Southern California. I am passionate about volunteer work and international humanitarian aid. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University. I enjoy singing, playing piano, riding horses, traveling, and water sports. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Macon, Georgia.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints means absolutely everything to me. As someone who has dealt with depression and anxiety, I lean on my Savior and His teachings to keep me living a healthy, happy life. While growing up, I was surrounded by people with various backgrounds and perceptions of my faith. Despite the world's sometimes unpleasant view of us "Mormons", I feel nothing but joy while pondering the teachings of this church and assurance that it is truth. This gospel is the best thing that ever happened to me. I love this Church and it's leaders. I love the people and experiences I have been able to encounter while striving to live it's teachings. Because I am a Mormon, I know that I will always be good enough to my Father in Heaven. I am a Daughter of the Most High God. I wear His name with pride.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by finding ways to serve and uplift the people around me--whether they be in school, church, work, or at home.
