Hi I'm Lindy

I grew up in Arizona, love to travel and have an associates degree in Sociology.

About Me

I’m a swimmer a dreamer and can’t sit still for more than two minutes at a time. I love to travel and have had the opportunity to visit quite a few states over the years. I hope to be able to travel more when I’m not a poor college student. Unfortunately, I still have quite a way to go! I recently graduated with an Associate degree in Sociology. I plan on continuing my education to obtain a Bachelors and then a Masters degree in social work. (It will probably take a lot of chocolate to get me through all those exams!) I’m addicted to the written word and most nights you can find me curled up in bed enthralled in a novel or hanging out with friends. I’m a very open person and love talking about anything and everything. I can pretty much talk the ear off of anybody if they let me (my family will vouch for me on this)! I hate change but I love the opportunities it provides and am excited to see what life has in store for me. I have a great family with four sisters and one brother who I love to pieces! They help me through the rough spots in life and I know I can always count on them for a few laughs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the only true church on the earth today. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and through him sacred truths were restored to the earth. This is the same church that was on the earth in Peter’s time. The same power that the original twelve apostles had has been restored to the earth. The book of Mormon was translated by the power of God and by reading this book I have come to know of its truthfulness. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has blessed my life immensely and I know that it will bless the lives of all those who listen to and believe on its message.

How I live my faith

As a teenager I helped plan activities for the youth in my ward (community). One of my favorite trips we planned was visiting all five temples in the state of Arizona. It was so much fun and I made a lot of new friends! I was also able to help teach others about their family history and find ancestors that needed temple work completed. This was such a fulfilling job and seeing the excitement in people’s eyes as they discovered their ancestors is something I will never forget. After I graduated high school I attended a singles ward where I was able to give a talk in church (which was slightly terrifying but taught me a lot) and even give a relief society lesson (which was mostly just fun!) In a few days I will be leaving to serve a mission in Bismarck North Dakota! I’m a little nervous but mostly excited! I hope I will be able to teach people about the love that God has for them and the wonderful plan of happiness that he created for us! I am grateful for the opportunity to share this gospel that has blessed my life so much.
