Hi I'm Tim

I am a husband, father, and a grandfather. I started running when I turned 60 years old and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I retired April 2015. My wife and I like to spend a lot of time with our children and grandchildren in a wide variety of activities. Through my daughter's involvement in running, she convinced me that I should do it too. All of my life I detested it but have learned to enjoy it and now participate in racing with her, one of her sisters, and some of my granddaughters and grandsons.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents took my older brother, my two younger sisters, and I to a different Christian church while we were growing up. In high school my brother was interested in a member of the Mormon Church and eventually joined the church and married her. Through his involvement and being taught by missionaries in 1966, the rest of our family was baptized into the Church and have been very committed to it ever since.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in the Mormon Church, particularly, working with the youth in the Scouting program and working with adults in leadership and teaching responsibilities. The church encourages being involved in community activities as well and I have served on school committee's, a city planning commission, a city council, and other community organizations. My wife and I have been called and we look forward to serving as office specialists in the New Zealand Wellington Mission for the next eighteen months.
