Hi I'm Jessica Beerli

I'm a missionary happily serving in the Iowa Des Moines mission. I love being outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo Utah. My family moved to the small town of Herscher Illinois when I was young. When I was a teenager we moved back to Utah where I now live. I found a passion in working with kids with disabilities. I have been a respite care provider for a few years and started working on a degree in Special Education at BYU. I love the outdoors. Walks and drives in the mountains are what I live for. I will be serving as a full time misisonary in Iowa from September 2016 to March 2018. I have a family of 5 and my dog. I am so blessed with all that God has given me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it feels right. I was born into the church and through the years I have built my own testimony through many different experiences. Choosing to live the gospel brings me happiness and have a better quality of life. I know that this is true because it all makes sense. God is loving so he has given us so much. One of my favorite truths of this gospel is that families can be together forever. I love my family so much and I know God loves my family so we can be together even after death. Growing up in this church has helped me to grow into a strong, motivated, and compassionate person. I have been able to build a friendship with my Heavenly Father and my brother Jesus Christ. Having a relationship with my Savior helps me to be able to get through trials in life because I know He has been through it. He is the way and the light in all things.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in all the little things I do. Things like using kind words, dressing modestly in any weather or situation, and attending church. I love studying from the scriptures every day and praying to my father in heaven. I served as a leader in my youth group from age 12 to 17. After that I began teaching the 5 year olds. I have chosen to leave my life in Utah behind and serve the Lord for 18 months to share the gospel with people in Iowa. I do this because I know it is what God wants from me and I will be able to bless so many people. The message of Christ has blessed my life so much and I want others to experience that as well.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Jessica Beerli
No one in the church is required to serve a mission. It is a personal decision between you and Heavenly Father whether a mission is right for you. Every member should pray with faith and ask if it is right for them. When they receive an answer they should go forward with faith. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Jessica Beerli
As a missionary myself, I feel like I can answer this question! When we visit homes, we talk about many things. We ask about you and your life. We find out what is important to you. We then share a message about Jesus Christ and His restored gospel on the earth. We will often share from the Book of Mormon. We answer any questions you may have and we bear our testimonies on the truthfulness of our message and share how it has blessed our lives. We share the feelings of our heart and invite you to come closer to Christ. Show more Show less
