Hi I'm Elijah

I've lived my entire life in American Fork, Utah. I was baptized at 18 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to be around people, I just like to spend my time with others doing good things and having fun. I enjoy learning and I have and interest in science, especially chemistry. I'm not great at English but I enjoy reading. I've had to change my life before and I don't regret it at all. I enjoy comics and marvel is my favorite. I've been told I'm tone deaf and it has never stopped me from singing a song I know. I love my family even if they don't have the same beliefs as me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to join the church of Jesus Christ because, I have come to know that my Father in heaven is there. That before he created the earth he had a plan that we could live are life and if we followed him on faith and followed his beloved son Jesus Christ we could return to live with him and become like him. That Jesus Christ's atonement was made that by his name we can be saved, that his love for us is so great that he died for us, (John 15:13). I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and was translated by a called servant of the Lord, who was Joseph Smith. Through him was the gospel of Christ restored. I love the Lord and the father, I know this is the true gospel of Christ and it brings me peace. I was converted to the church by some sincere invites and those in my life who invited the spirit, which manifested the truth of the Gospel unto me over time. I pushed forward in faith, met with the missionaries, read the book of Mormon and was baptized. I stay true to the faith because I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I know that I am a son of a Heavenly Father that watches over me with such great interest that it would astound us to see how much he cares. I try to live my life centered around Christ with him in my mind I try to do what he would do. I try to be strong through this gospel, I try to love those around me. I am a ward missionary in my ward and I try to always do good at that calling. I try to invite those in the ward to church. By living a Christ centered life it does come easier. I try to be a good influence on my brothers and my family.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Well The Bible helps to support our church in truth. Take it this way if you drew two dots next to each other, You could draw and infinite number of lines through each dot. But you could only draw one through both dots. The dots are The Bible and The Book of Mormon. So with this is mind these two books together allow for no diversion of the church. They together support each other in truth, and that truth is why we use both, for with out The Bible, we could diverge from the complete truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Also the New Testament tell of the ministry of Jesus Christ in the east, of all he did, that we can learn of him and about him to try to become more like him. It shows us more of his perfect example for us. Show more Show less
