Hi I'm George

I was born in Washington, D.C. I was an engineer with a global energy company. I have friends all over the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As an engineer, I love to solve complex problems by gathering and analyzing the appropriate data. I also love music. I play the piano, organ and guitar, and love to sing. I love to travel. I have visited all 50 of the United States and 6 of the 7 continents. I love photography. I enjoy reading about history and trying to understand how different civilizations and peoples thrived, declined and disappeared. My family is very important to me. I was blessed with loving and caring parents and siblings. I have found great joy in seeing my children strive to reach their potential.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the witness I have received from the Holy Spirit. I know that their is a God, that He sent His Son to take upon him our sins and sorrows, that through Joseph Smith God restored his church to the earth. I have also seen how those who conscientiously follow the Gospel have the strength to overcome life's challenges and the support of a caring network that spans the globe. I have met with Mormons all over the world, and found the same love for each other everywhere.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by joyfully treating everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve as a fellow child of God. I have been a Scoutmaster, taught Sunday School classes for youth and adults. I play the organ for our church services. My wife and I are preparing to go on a mission ourselves, now that all of the kids are on their own and I have retired.
