Hi I'm Robbie Riddle

I am a Mormon. I love music. I was born in Hawaii, grew up in Florida, went to school in California and now I live in Japan.

About Me

My path to finding the church to being sealed in the temple to serving in the bishopric is evidence of my Heavenly Father's love for me. I feel incredibly blessed by my wife, my children, the trials and challenges that I have endured and continue to endure. "Trial is just 'trail' spelled differently." That's a little motto I like to say to myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the truth. By living the principles taught by the church I have come to learn that I am truly a child of God. I have learned that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the one and eternal plan for each of our Heavenly Father's children. I am also grateful that Joseph Smith was chosen to restore all the plain and precious things that were lost or changed. I am a Mormon because I feel safe by trying to live Gospel standards. I am a Mormon because nothing better can arm me and guide me as a husband and father. Knowing the things I know gives me hope and strength.

How I live my faith

As a high school music director of band, choir, and orchestra I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of young people. Just as important as the notes on the page is the meaning of the text. I always strive to infuse gospel principles into my mini lectures or pep talks to my students. Because of the modern prophets, incredible local leaders, fellow members, and the scriptures I try to share what I learn with my students. By teaching, I have learned about the attributes of the Savior. When I am alone or when I feel down, I have memories of the rich experiences I have through my students and the lessons I have taught and the music we made together.
