Hi I'm Bob

I was born in Texas and grew up in the Northwest. I sell golf equipment to golf shops in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play golf, teach from the scriptures, take photographs and travel. I am a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ from pioneer stock. I have two sons and 5 grandchildren. I love my country and follow politics closely. I have done extensive family history research, and enjoy learning about my ancestors. I enjoy following college and pro sports, especially golf, basketball, baseball and football.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught from my childhood how to pray and seek God. That has not changed throughout my life. I know that Jesus is the Christ and He is my Savior and your Savior. This knowledge has come through experiencing the death of my wife, and feeling of His comfort during that loss. My testimony continues to grow each and every year as I put God's words to the test and He always comes through. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and that he was the instrument the Lord used to translate the Book of Mormon, and establish again His church here on the earth with all of the proper Priesthood authority, organization with Prophets, Apostles, Seventies, etc. just as Jesus Christ established it when He was here on the earth. I have had the opportunity to know personally some of the Apostles and know that they are men of God, and are truly God's mouthpieces here on earth.

How I live my faith

I teach the Adult Sunday School Class in my congregation. I love to ponder and study the scriptures and seek to teach as Christ would teach. When my boys were young, I coached baseball, soccer and basketball for many years. I love to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. It makes so much sense as an answer to all of life's challenges.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is an essential element of our faith. Without the Grace of God, we cannot be saved, for we all fall short of His glory. The question may be asked, How have I been changed by Grace? Because of the Grace of God and His tender mercies in my life, my faith leads to actions that would be in line with what Jesus Christ would do in the same situation. I am not perfect or complete as admonished in Matthew 5:48, and yet through my Savior Jesus Christ, through repentance and His Grace, I am able to receive a remission of my sins, and receive His assistance (Grace) to become more like Him. It is essential to have Faith in Christ to be saved, but Faith is an action word requiring work to have Faith be complete. See James chapter 2. Show more Show less
