Hi I'm Jace

I am a regular middle class American boy who grew up in Meridian Idaho. I love my family and friends and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young adult from Meridian, Idaho just outside of Boise. I have lived there since I was three years old and I have had a great childhood. I have been surrounded by many friends and family throughout my life who have helped me achieve my goals. My interests are very similar to those of other young men my age like sports and other exercise (especially running), hanging out with friends, girls, video games, and many other forms of fun. I also enjoy reading books and watching movies. I love learning. I also have a keen interest in politics in America. I have been raised by a mother who has strong political opinions and I have followed in her footsteps. I love the U.S.A and its rich history. I am going to serve a mission in Oakland and San Francisco, California and I plan on attending Brigham Young University afterwards.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel message and the hope it gives me. I am a Mormon because I have had countless instances in my life where I have felt my Heavenly Father's love and spirit. The Lord has testified to me through his spirit that this is His church, because I feel his love and see his blessings when I live by it's precepts and teachings. I have received comfort and light from the Lord when I pray to him for guidance and love. He does answer prayers. I have seen this Church change and improve many lives including my own, my family's, and many of my dearest friends. The work of this church is truly a miracle on the Earth and it will continue to roll forth just as the Prophet Joseph prophesied.

How I live my faith

I have had many wonderful opportunities given to me by the Church. I have had the opportunity to grow in youth leadership positions. I have had opportunities to serve others in Church duties that I treasure deeply. I have had these chances to serve and be served through home teaching and the scouting program. I will be able to continue serving others as I serve a mission for my Church in California. I love seeing the way the church is ran by disciples of Christ. The members all work together to help and uplift each other. I sincerely believe that the organization of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is called of God.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Jace
Tithing is a law that can be seen in ancient scripture. The Lord has always asked his children to make some sort of sacrifices so that we can show him our faith and obedience. Tithing may seem like a burden, but when it is done in the right attitude and faith, it can become a great blessing. I have seen people in my life who have received blessings after paying their tithing, especially when it seems like an impractical thing to do. The Lord will provide a way. We must remember that God is all powerful, anything is possible to Him. He will make it possible for us to meet our needs if we pay our tithing. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Jace
Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have bodies just like us with flesh and bone. They love and know us more than we can comprehend and desire for us to eventually to grow and learn enough to return to their presence in the Father's kingdom. Our Father has laid out a plan for each and every one of us so that we can return to him someday. At the center of this plan is the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. He paid the price for the demands of God's justice so that we can repent of our sins and return to the Lord. His number one goal is the happiness and joy of His children, or the human race.
