Hi I'm Sam

I was born in Havre De Grace. I am a craftsman. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

As part of my high school years, I studied welding, when I did, I made my assignment or what ever came to mind. Whether it was a ring, a tree, a scale model of a bike, a cut out of a ship from a TV show. And I do work a lot with my hands. Outside of school, I became part of the fire department, and learned how to...fight fires, in my free time, I would enjoy both video and board games, if I wanted to work, I would see if my lawn needed to be worked on, and I mowed, moved things around, anything that needed to be done. I kept to myself most of the time, but I would accept any opportunities to serve others. I took part of the Boy Scouts of America, and reached the rank of Eagle Scout in my troop. I also love to ride my bicycle.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the moral and the standards that Christ has set for us. Although they're hard to follow in the world today, these standards are guidelines that help me get back to my father in heaven, and keeps my eye to the glory in Heaven. And these guidelines are here to help us live better lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be as obedient as I can. I read my scriptures, pray, serve and lift others, anything that our Heavenly Father would want me to do.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Mormon abridged the book from all the books written by Christ's prophets in ancient America. The latter-day prophet, Joseph Smith, only translated The Book of Mormon from an unreadable language by the power of God, so all of us can read it in what ever language you speak or read and learn more about the restored truth. Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Imagine that your body is a house, and you are your spirit. You want a clean house, right? But if you don't take care of your house (body), like the word of wisdom advises, your house (your physical body) will become dirty, and you wouldn't want to live in a dirty house. That's why we take care of our bodies by exercising, eating properly, and by not doing drugs or drinking. Show more Show less
