Hi I'm Cavin Huntsman

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio but grew up in Holladay, Utah. I'm currently serving a mission in Taipei, Taiwan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Holladay, Utah with my mom and dad, older brother, two older sisters, and one younger sister. I spen most of my time outdoors playing lacrosse, off-roading, rock climbing, boating, and hiking. I have played lacrosse since I was in 3rd grade, and spend most of my summers playing. I am hoping to be able to play in college. Living in Utah has been nice right next to the mountains, I enjoy skiing and snowboarding every winter. I also love the arts, I have acted for years and been able to participate in a few professional productions, I paint a lot in my free time, and I have played the cello since 7th grade. I was blessed with the opportunity to go on tour with my orchestra. In school I took a lot of art, music, and language classes. I also love to travel and experience other cultures. I was able to spend a few months on a service trip in the Dominican Republic where I got to practice my Spanish. I am excited to learn Mandarin on my mission and would like to learn Arabic in college, hopefully studying abroad during college as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the gospel. I know that nobody is perfect, including me, and it brings me joy to know that I can be forgiven of the mistakes I make. I love how close the gospel brings my family, and how happy it makes people around me. I am excited to serve a mission, because I want to see other people find the joy this brings me and my family.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to grow up in the church, with both of my parents being members. Although I live in an area with a lot of members, my school did not have many. This gave me the opportunity to share my beliefs with a lot of my friends who were not members. I love being part of this faith and have learned that as a member you are always setting an example for those around you, and representing the church.
