Hi I'm Elaina McFarland

I grew up in Utah. I finished a piano program (AIM) after 10 years of work. I attended Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to dance. I have been dancing for sixteen years and I still continue to take classes. I also have played piano for eleven years and I have never really had a passion for it, but I am grateful for the talent I was able to work at. I was I love to be with friends. I have a big group of girl friends who are all members and have been such amazing influences in my life. I am also very close with my family and I love to spend time with them. We like to go boating, spend time on the beach, and travel outside the country on occasion. I attended college for a year before I left on my mission. I was studying Pre-Nursing there, but now I am not exactly sure what I want to go into. I still want to stay in the medical field but I might want to go to PA school or medical school.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my dad decided to accept the gospel in his life at nine years old and has taught me the ways of the gospel and led me by example since I was born. His dad was baptized into the church, but stopped attending in his teenage years. His mom was never a member. My dad, his older sister and younger brother chose to go to church each week with their neighbors. My dad and his brother both served missions and all three of the siblings were married in the temple and are still active in the church. The gospel has changed and will continue to change the way I live forever. It is the biggest blessing in my life to know the full truth. I know I would be lost without it, so that is why I choose to teach others about the happiness they can feel through it.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward by substitute teaching for the young children's Sunday school, coordinating the women's visiting and teaching activity, and going to activities and church. I have been in different presidencies of my classes at church during my youth and have taught some lessons to them. I have helped plan and prepare for Girl's camp as a youth leader for it.
