Hi I'm Alicia

I'm a director, a runner, a cold weather lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey there, I'm Alicia and this is my story! I'm a college student double majoring in social work and psychology to one day become a clinical psychologist. Running is one of my absolute favorite things; I've run 20+ races in the last two years and I have plans for many many more! I worked as a color guard director for middle school and high school color guards for 4 years, and competed with an independent color guard placing first at state competitions two years in a row. Marching band, DCI and Disney will always put a smile on my face. I love cold rainy weather, a good book and fuzzy socks. And I am a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in the Barbados Bridgetown mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a family where the gospel of Jesus Christ is the focus. I grew up going to church every Sunday and had wonderful parents who taught me right from wrong. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I love knowing that there is always something more. This gospel reassures me that I am important, that I am loved and that I matter. I love being a member of a church where everyone is loved, where everyone is striving to be better and where everyone can feel welcome. I love knowing that I will see my family again and that I can be happy with them throughout the eternities. I know that God and Christ love my perfectly, even with all of my faults and weaknesses. I know that with their help I can reach my full potential and I am able to help others do the same. I am a Mormon because I have had a small glimpse of the eternal happiness that can come from living the standards and teaching of the gospel and I want nothing more than for everyone around me to feel that same happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best everyday to become a little better. I read my scriptures and attend the temple and my church meetings whenever possible. I try to serve those around me and help make their lives just a little easier. I serve as a Sunday school teacher in my ward and try to help others understand the beauty and simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
