Hi I'm Ashley

I am a missionary in Upstate New York. I am from Arkansas. I am deaf. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I have been born into a wonderful family. We used to live in Utah, but now we live in Arkansas. I have two older siblings who have been good influences in my life. I have two amazing parents. I was born deaf, and at the age of 2, I got a Cochlear Implant which allows me to hear. I love anything to do with stories, whether that is by reading books or watching movies and shows. My favorite place to be is in the comfort of my own home surrounded by my family. I am going to college to pursue accounting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because when I follow His gospel, I have hope that regardless how imperfect I am, I can have chance to return to Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I pray and read scriptures every day. I have a picture of Jesus Christ in my room, so that when I look at it everyday, I think about Him. I have been part of the youth program for 6 years which has brought me closer to the Savior. Right now, I have put my life on hold to serve the Lord as one of His missionaries for 18 months in Upstate New York

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe that the Bible to be the word of God. It contains the teachings of ancient prophets of Israel and teaches us about Christ. With the Bible, we also believe that the Book of Mormon to be the word of God as well. It does contain teachings of ancient prophets of America and also teaches us about Christ. The Bible and Book of Mormon go hand and hand. They both work together to teach about Christ. Show more Show less
