Hi I'm Ali

I'm a daughter, sister, a sorority girl. I'm a missionary in the Arizona Scottsdale Spanish speaking Mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ali. I am a convert to the Church and have been a member for four years and I could not be happier. I am a student at The University of Utah and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. I have amazing sorority sisters and I absolutely love spending time with them. I am currently taking a break from college to dedicate 18 months of my life to serve the Lord. I have been called to serve in the Arizona Scottsdale Mission as a Spanish speaking missionary and I feel so blessed for the opportunity to serve the people of Arizona.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this Church is true. I became a member of the Church because two missionaries visited me when I was back home in Clinton, New Jersey. They showed me a better way to live my life. I felt the Holy Ghost and knew that I had found the true Church. I found hope for my future and comfort in my choice to join the Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to live as a Latter-Day Saint. I am extremely thankful that I have a supportive family and live in an amazing country. I know that God is responsible for placing these amazing people in my life and for giving me opportunities to find happiness. I know our Heavenly Father has a plan for me and he will be with me as I spread his word. I know this Church is true and I hope that I can be a great example for all members and non-members alike. I read the Book of Mormon and I try to find inspiration in its words. I highlight passages that give me strength and refer to them in time of need. I find great comfort in the teachings. I felt the Holy Ghost prompt me to serve a mission and spread the Gospel to people who may have not been given the opportunity to learn about the Church.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Bishops are not paid because they are chosen by our Heavenly Father to donate their time and services to help better our community. We all have a responsibility to donate and better our community. Show more Show less
