Hi I'm James

I am a business school professor. I like to travel. I speak German. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My wife and I have 4 kids and we love to spend time together. We backpacked for 40 days through Europe as a family and learned so much about ourselves, the beauty of other peoples, cultures, and the grace of God. We are fond of foreign languages, foods, and traditions. We especially love home and the people who surround us in our quaint home town. We like to do nice things for them every chance we can. We enjoy reading books, playing strategy games, and physical activities as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

Developing a personal relationship with Jesus and trying my best to live the His gospel brings me true happiness. As I learn more and grow personally I feel His love. I feel enlightenment to my mind, peace in my heart, and renewal of my body. It makes me want to serve others, and love my neighbor. The coolest thing that I wish I could shout from the roof-tops it that the church that Christ established along with it's authority, and clear doctrines has been restored to the earth! We have a living prophet again on this earth who helps us know His will. Equally important, through the power of the Holy Ghost I have gained a personal witness of this and anyone else can get their own witness too. I invite anyone who already believes or wants to believe and has a sincere heart to cherish and retain all that they already know about God to be true. Then, come find out what additional truths you can discover to add to your testimony. You will find it the most worthwhile and soul enriching experience.

How I live my faith

My faith is a huge part of my identity. Every day I am reminded that people are looking at me as an example of a disciple of Jesus Christ and a representative of His Church. That helps me keep the right perspective in how I interact with colleagues and others in the community. I have spent 15 years working with youth and the scouting movement. I am a strong supporter of the movement and very much enjoy the fellowship of scouters. I currently volunteer about 10 hours a week helping administer to ecclesiastical leaders in my region.
