Hi I'm Amy

I love to run. I love to read. I love M&M's. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying at Brigham Young University and I love it! I love children and I work as a nanny in the summer. In the fall I will leave to serve a full time mission in the Colorado Denver South mission speaking Spanish and I am stoked! I love to run long distance. I enjoy reading books. I absolutely love all M&M's. I am the second oldest of 5 kids and I love being with my family. Most of all I love the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I LOVE this gospel! I have been a member my whole life, but I have had to gain my own testimony and choose for myself to follow Christ. I could not imagine life without the knowledge that I have a Savior who gave His life so that I can return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father again some day. We have a Heavenly Father who loves us infinitely and perfectly. I feel His love each day and I know He is looking out for me. I see the multiple blessings He gives to me every single day. I know that through the atonement and the gift of repentance, we can and will be made clean, pure and worthy to enter into the presence of God. All we have to do is trust in the Atonement. We have to let our faith push aside all fear and believe Christ when He says that He can cleanse us of all our sins as long as we are trying our best and repenting each and everyday. I know that we have a prophet on the Earth today who speaks the word of God. We never have to question what the leaders of the church say because God will not let them say anything contrary to His will and desire. We have the gift of prayer. We are able to talk with God every day all day and He will help us. If we are living righteously and worthy of His Spirit then we will be guided in what to do each day of our lives. This gospel brings happiness and it brings hope. It brings a greater joy then any superficial or materialistic momentary happiness we find on this Earth. Christ is the greatest gift we could ask for! He is there even when no one else is. Read the Book of Mormon. It is true! It is full of knowledge and light and it testifies of Christ. I love the temple! It is the greatest place on Earth and it is the house of the Lord. Through the temple we can be sealed to our families for time and all eternity! There is nothing better we could hope for. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior. The gospel is true. I love everything about it! I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I just finished at school serving as the secretary of my ward's Relief Society (or women's organization). I helped to plan group activities and service projects. I helped to organize the visiting teaching companionships so each girl in my hall had someone reaching out to her and another girl to look out for. Currently i fulfill my own visiting teaching each month in my Young Single Adult branch. I am also preparing to serve a full time mission. Most of all, however, I live my faith by trying each day to grow closer to Christ. By trying my best to dress, speak and act in a way that would make my Heavenly Father happy. By looking for ways to serve His children.
