Hi I'm Brittney

I love to play sports, dance, and laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Texas born, curly-blonde headed, college student. I love trying new things especially when it helps me connect with others. I grew up playing soccer and basketball, but I spontaneously switched to tennis in high school. I love any excuse to be outside, but my favorite is hiking. Mini dance parties alone or with family or friends is my kind of a good time. You can almost always catch me with a smile on my face.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be and continue to chose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it is the same church that Christ himself set up on the earth. I love my Savior and I know that even though His church apostatized, it was restored through a man named Joseph Smith by the power and authority of God. I know that God is our Father and that we are His children and that He loves us very much. I know that because God loves us He provided a way for us to return to Him; He provided a Savior, Jesus Christ, to suffer for us, so we don't have to suffer and to die for us, so we can live with our Father in Heaven again. I also know that by choosing to be a member of this Church by being baptized by proper authority, we can show Christ we are willing to follow Him and pattern our lives after Him. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives me joy, direction, and purpose because Christ is the head of this church and we have a living prophet today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving others. In one week I will begin my next opportunity to serve in the church; I have been called to be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in Pennsylvania. I never thought it was possible to love people I've never even met, but I feel the Savior's love for the people there as I have prepared for my mission and learned more about the atonement of Jesus Christ. Even though it will be hard to put myself and my beliefs out there, I can't wait to bring others closer to Christ as I share why I'm a Mormon.
