Hi I'm kaye stephanie

I am Filipino and I am a Mormon. I love singing hymns because it uplifts the soul.

About Me

I was born during our city fiesta. And I am born Mormon. My mom got baptized when she was pregnant of me. She with her own free will joined the church and got married to my father right before her baptism. My father's family are converts to the Mormon church. As they strive to bring me to the church every sunday, I grew fond of the gospel and embraced it and built a testimony and desire to serve our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was eight when I was baptized and I was so excited for the cake after my baptism because it was my birthday. Not really realizing how baptism has opened the gates of heaven for me. As I grew older and as I study the scriptures and attend church meetings, I understood that I am a Mormon because I believed that God has restored His TRUE church here on earth and that I believe that God has called a prophet to restore what has been lost. I am a Mormon not because my parents are, but because I know for myself that the light of Christ was within me and the Holy Ghost testified of the truth taught to me ever since I began to understand and be taught during our classes at church and because I have heard life-changing testimonies that made me feel more eager to learn about the real reason why I was baptized and why I am striving to continue taking the path my Heavenly has prepared for me.

How I live my faith

Our branch president called me as a teacher for the young women class. In my early age, I learned how to love gospel teaching as my mother was a seminary teacher and my grandmother's profession was also teaching. As I was called to that duty, I learned how the savior teaches. I learned how to appreciate others and how to listen. I am grateful for the calling given to me because it doesn't only help me learn about gospel principles but it helps me remember the covenants I have made with our Heavenly Father.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

kaye stephanie
I would often hear people say that we serve missions because we are paid. As a member of the church, we are not forced to go on a mission and instead, we serve on our own free will and because of the desires of our hearts. Men and Women who are physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually able may serve a mission. The gospel must be proclaimed and as members we believe that to preach the gospel is a sacred responsibility from God. Show more Show less
