Hi I'm Nathan Reeder

I love to do theater. I love to perform, whether it be with an instrument or your voice, I love it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm just a simple 18 year old kid that just graduated high school. In high school I did everything that was band and theater. My dad is the high school band teacher so I was expected to play an instrument. Even though sometimes I was to play when I didn't want to, I now have a love for performing with a trumpet and a piano. In high school my theater experience made my father jealous. I was very lucky to make a place for myself there. I was the main star in our performance of Peter Pan. I also took 1st at state in theater my senior year. But that was nothing compared to the great family and friends that I have. They've Stuck with me through thick and thin and I love them to death. The only reason I wake up and smile in the morning is because they love me. But soon I'll be leaving them to go serve the Lord for two years in Bolivia. And that's what I am focused on at the moment. Look out Bolivia here comes one crazy kid!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, or as some people say, a Latter Day Saint of the Church of Jesus Christ because of some small but powerful things. 1. Since I've been a Mormon things just somehow fall into place, whether it be money-wise or with my relationships with friends and family. Don't get me wrong there are definitely trials but there is always a happy ending with the gospel. 2. I am a much happier person with the knowledge that I know. I know that Jesus suffered for each of our sins AND pains and afflictions. He's suffered for when we lied but also he's had to go through sicknesses and the anxiety and fear that I have. 3. I have a purpose in life because of being a Mormon. I have a reason to try to live righteously, I have a reason to wake up in the morning. I have a reason to smile and I have a reason and a purpose to live my life to the best of my ability and to make a difference. I don't need to make a huge difference by changing the world, I just need to make a difference for myself so that I can be happy with the choices that I've made. Because of my choice to be a Mormon I have a reason to try.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to make others happy. I try to make people smile at all times, I crack a joke when things get awkward and I try to just keep everyone focused on thr main thing, which is "If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!" I am the Secretary of the priests quorum so I try to remind those people of the quorum to remember their assignments so that we can accomplish things. But mostly, I try my best to be an example! Because that's the best thing a person can do. Of course, I am never the best example but I try my hardest and I get things done that I start and somehow, I try to find a way to smile.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Nathan Reeder
No, Mormons are not required to serve a mission. I know so many members of the church who haven't served a mission. As a matter of fact, my bishop didn't serve a mission. Yet, he is still a fantastic man. Unfortunately though, he does regret it. I am choosing to serve a mission because I want to tell the world about the knowledge that I have about the gospel and invite others to join me in the happiness that I have because I'm a part of the Gospel.
