Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I'm a farmers daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Nowadays, it's not very common for someone to grow up on a farm, but that's not the case where I grew up. Everyone here lives on a farm, or a ranch. Along with that, comes the characteristic of being a hard worker. There's no nine-five work schedule. There's no yearly planners when it comes to cutting crops. There is no summer break for play. When it comes to farming, one has to be ready for anything: lack of water, bad weather, equipment breaking down, and timing. Although farming is stressful, I wouldn't ever wish to change my childhood growing up working alongside my dad, mom, brothers, and sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormom. Not because my mom and dad are, but because this is what I chose to do. Of course my parents were always right alongside me encouraging me to go to church, to be baptized, to keep the commandments, but it was always my choice. I was always the happiest when I was living the teachings of the gospel. Although I have always been a Mormom, I still had my own conversion to the church. My conversion story was gaining my own testimony and not borrowing a testimony from my peers. I have now gained my own testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that Christ died for me, that he was resurrected, and that he is my brother. I know that he loves and cares for me. I know that Hevenly Father knows me personally and loves me with every ounce of his being. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. That he restored the true church upon this Earth. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and that it's the word of God. I have no doubt of these things and I'm proud to be a Mormon and to have a strong testimony of these things. My testimony I leave in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is living more Christlike. I live my faith by serving others, smiling, being positive, following the guidelines and commandments of the gospel. I am currently serving a full-time mission. I have been called to serve in the California Riverside mission. I am so excited to bring others unto Christ and help them become happy through this gospel.
