Hi I'm Cindy Goddard

I grew up in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. I am mom, a grandma, and a wife to a wonderful man. I am an Nurse and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a wonderful and caring family where I was raised on a dairy farm in Idaho. I went to school where I started my college education and met my future husband. After we were married, I became the mother of 4 wonderful children and am now a grandma to 9 beautiful grand babies ( three of which are still to be born). I was able to finish my nursing degree after the children were a little older. I have worked in many areas but mostly in the Intensive Care Unit. Though at times it can be difficult, I feel that being a nurse can really bless others and I enjoy serving others. Now that my husband has retired from the military, I am able to continue to serve others now that we are going on a mission. This has always been a goal for me and my husband and we are able to do that now.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the church though I have had to gain my own testimony and understanding of the truthfulness of the gospel. Although I did not go to church all the time when I was young, my mother recognized the importance of raising us with the gospel in our lives and we went to church consistently throughout my teenage years. Throughout my life I have recognized through many experiences the comfort and peace that the gospel gives me. After the 9/11 attack, I knew they my husband would have a high likelihood of being deployed. I was given a strong spiritual impression that everything was going to be alright--not that he wouldn't have to go but that everything would be OK. He was deployed one year later as the battalion commander of a Special Forces Unit. I had to rely on that spiritual impression many times as I continues to raise our four children while he was away serving our country. I have had many other experiences and blessings of peace throughout my life that continue to testify of my Heavenly Father's love for me. The peace that the gospel gives me and the understanding of our purpose here upon this earth helps to guide me in my everyday life. I continue to strive to be a good example and disciple of Jesus Christ and strive to serve Him in every way that I can.

How I live my faith

I have been able to serve in the church in many callings. I have been serve with the youth by teaching Sunday gospel classes as well as serving in the scouting program. I have also been able to serve with the ladies of the congregation in many areas. My own service to the church helps me to show my appreciation to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ my willingness to follow him. This is not only on Sunday but throughout my life in any way that I can. Now that I will be serving Him on a mission, I hope to continue to further the work in His kingdom and strengthening others and helping them come unto Christ.
