Hi I'm McKayla Honey

I grew up in Utah. I have been called to serve in the Texas Fort Worth Mission. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a pediatric dental assistant and I love it. I love kids and family. I love having fun with my family and it doesn't matter what we are doing. I love camping, boating, wake boarding, snowmobiling, snowboarding, bike riding, or anything that has to do with the outdoors. I love going on adventures. I also love anything country. I love country music, rodeos, horses, books, belt buckles, etc. I love to serve others. It brings me joy. I graduated from a technology school in their dental assisting program and after my mission I'll go to college to finish my last couple credits to get my associates degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have come to know for myself that the gospel is true and that it's what I need in my life. Even though I have grown up in this church I had to learn and figure out for myself that it is the right thing for me. It's taken me several years to really, truly know for myself. How I came to the knowledge that this is the true church is by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it is true. If you have that real desire to know it will be hard to miss the unbelievable feeling and power of the Holy Ghost telling you that is true. I have read, prayed, and asked several times in my life and every time I get a reassuring answer that it is true. I know that we lived with our Heavenly Father before we came to this Earth. I know that Jesus Christ died for all of our sins and because of Him we all have the opportunity to repent and be forgiven. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the true living prophet today, who leads and guides us on the path back to our Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. I know that families can be together for time and eternity. I know that Heavenly Father knows us individually and loves every single one of us. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I participate in the church in several ways right now. I am part of a group of a few people that help do church services at a nursing home, I help plan activities that happen every week, and I am in the choir. I also have the opportunity to go out and visit a few of the women in the congregation. It is great to know that they know that I will be there for them whenever they need me. It's amazing being able to talk about the gospel and everything I love and know to be true with them.
