Hi I'm Mason

I grew up in Yakima, WA. I am an eagle scout and I enjoy sports. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary in the Washington DC North Mission. I did cross country, track, and swim in high school. I love to watch and play most sports especially football and basketball. Reading and listening to music are big stress relievers in my life. I enjoy snowboarding and wake boarding and most outdoor activities. My friends are really important to me and I enjoy socializing with others. I am planning on attending BYUI after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have so many inspiring leaders and family members that have been a great example to me. I have felt the spirit and feel Heavenly Father's hand in so many aspects of my life. I really respect the family and I love that my family is a strong close unit. It is a comfort to know we can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I graduated from seminary this year. I attended early morning scripture study for all four years of high school. This really helped me start my day out right and gave me a good feeling going into my school day and sports activities. It wasn't always easy, but it was definitely worth it. Going to seminary with youth my own age and getting to hear their comments and questions makes my faith more relevant to me. I organize activities for our church youth program on Wednesday nights. I like to go on camping and high adventure outings with the other guys my age. We hike, raft and repel at some beautiful places. Nature is amazing and reminds me of God's hand in our lives. We have spiritual nights too, with great speakers and encouraging leaders. I attend church with my family and this is a weekly renewal to remind me of my baptismal covenants. Hearing others testimonies and lessons about our Savior helps me prepare for the upcoming weeks events. I have a lot of friends that are not of my faith, but I seem to get along with so many different people. I think it is important to live your faith and accept others for who they are.
