Hi I'm Amanda Schroath

I'm a musician. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a music education major at BYU. I've been playing the piano for 13 years and saxophone for 8 years. I love music, but I also love sports! I love playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, and even football. I have been called to preach this Gospel and represent the Lord in the Arizona, Tucson Mission and will be leaving July 20th, 2016. Being around people is my absolute favorite thing. No matter what, as long as I'm with my friends or family, I'm happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because I absolutely believe in its teachings. I have come to know for myself that God knows who I am and blesses me if I live and keep His commandments. So much joy has come to me through living this Gospel. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, has died for me personally and yet lives for me as well. I cannot wait to share the message of peace and hope the Gospel holds with the wonderful people of Arizona, and whoever else afterwards that I may meet in my life. The church is true!

How I live my faith

The last few semesters I've had the opportunity to be involved with my ward down at school by planning activities. As we were put into little "families," I was the "mother" of mine and got to plan weekly activities to help strengthen our friendships. I have also been in the position with a great friend of mine to plan activities for our whole ward, like a water balloon fight, and talent show. Being in these positions helped me to understand different interests those around me had and allowed me to help everyone grow close to each other as one big family! It has been such a blessing to me to participate in my ward!
