Hi I'm Ashlee

Dancer. Rancher. Lover of Italian food and cheesy jokes. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a college student who enjoys spontaneous adventures and ice cream! I love learning new things and setting goals. I'm kind of into music and play flute, piano, and guitar. I've danced for most of my life and I'm enjoying my time with my college dance team. I'm an ag kid and I love working out on the ranch with our cows or taking an afternoon to ride horses. My life is crazy and busy and sometimes messy, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon for my entire life because my amazing parents raised me in this church. The difference between me and a lot of other "Utah Mormons" is that I gained a testimony of my own at a young age. Growing up in a Nevada mining town, I didn't have a lot of Mormons my age, so I had to decide if I really knew the church was true or if my parents were just crazy. So, when I was 12, I read the Book of Mormon cover to cover. When I finished, I prayed about it and asked Heavenly Father if it was true, and he IMMEDIATELY helped me understand that it was a true book. Since that time, I've continued to learn and receive inspiration that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Aside from all the doctrinal aspects of why I am a Mormon, I feel GOOD when I am doing the things that the gospel teaches. Life is a little bit easier and more enjoyable. The tough times aren't as tough. And through it all, I know that God is there looking out for me. He is my Father! He knows me and HE KNOWS YOU. You are loved! And that, my friends, makes all the difference in the world.

How I live my faith

I've done a lot of things with my young single adult ward as well as my home ward. I've made food for potluck dinners and right now I'm teaching the kids in primary! I love teaching about the Book of Mormon because it is a HUGE part of my life. It makes me so happy and I love sharing that happiness and joy with everyone! I volunteer whenever I can to help with service projects, whether it's cleaning the church or helping someone on our street move out. Service is soooo good.
