Hi I'm Lauren Bell

I am from the great state of Texas. I'm kind of quiet but a good listener, and I love to have fun with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge reader! Nothing is more perfect for me than curling up with a good book on a rainy day. I love watching chick flicks and spending time with the family. We have the wildest and best times together, making home movies and playing card games. I have already completed a year at Brigham Young University in Utah and will be returning there, but first I will be going on a mission! I have been called to serve in California for The Church of Jesus Christ of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 18 months. I know it will be challenging but I am so excited, I cannot wait!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life. I had always known the church was true but I didn't really have my own testimony of it. It wasn't until my freshman year of high school that things finally changed for me. I was just kind of going through the motions and things just seemed to keep going wrong. Then my parents challenged me to read the Book of Mormon and to think seriously about going on a mission. When I accepted their challenge and really started to work on my testimony of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon, things started to change. It brought peace into my life that I had been missing before, I had a purpose. My love for the Savior and the Atonement grew so much! I'm obviously not perfect, my testimony still waxes and wanes. But I know without a doubt that this church is true, I know that Jesus is my Lord and Savior and that He suffered for my sins and hardships, I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I know that a prophet speaks to us today to give us love and direction from our Father in Heaven. He has an amazing plan for us to return to Him, it takes work and sacrifice to follow His plan, but the wonderful and powerful blessings that He has promised His children are worth the hardships. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Everyone lives their faith a little bit differently. Sometimes it can be big acts, but more often it's by little ones. It is the everyday little things you do. I live my faith by trying to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and His prophets. By reading the scriptures, praying and communicating with my Father in Heaven, going to church every Sunday, having patience with others and especially myself, by trying to keep what I watch, read, and listen to clean. At church I have had the opportunity to serve in many different callings. Now I help out with the young children and also by teaching the women. Soon I will get the opportunity to serve as a missionary too! I have learned that faith takes work but that work is worth the blessings.
