Hi I'm Rob Dixon

I've always been a member, but have fairly recently come to know of the vitality of this gospel in my life.

About Me

I'm the third and middle child of five. I guess this would label me as the "forgotten child" but I really haven't felt that name to be applicable for most of my life. I have great parents who have taught me so much as I have grown up. I have two older siblings who I have come to love and respect, as they have been such great role models to me. They have paved the way for me to follow especially when it comes to their diligent and inspiring experience as full time missionaries in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I really enjoy my two younger brothers as they are so fun-loving and great examples to me of Christ-like love. As a recent high school graduate I now look forward to serving a full time mission in Barcelona, Spain where I hope to expand my love of both the gospel, and the Spanish language.

Why I am a Mormon

My experience in the gospel dates back to my birth. I was born into the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. However, I have just recently come to realize and appreciate the knowledge that I have of an eternal plan for me, and have been humbled by the love and assistance that has been shown to me from Jesus Christ. I know that in all of my trials and struggles I always have the love and wisdom of an all-knowing heavenly being. In that I have found peace and joy in this gospel. As I have made covenants with Him and have come to the knowledge of my role and purpose here on this earth, I have found strength and hope in this life, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am very grateful for the opportunities I have had in my experience as a member of the church. As an active home-teaching companion to my father, I have learned and grown so much in the interactions with him, and those we have been assigned to teach. As a newly ordained Elder, I have felt the weight, but also the joy that comes with holding the Melchizedek Priesthood. As I leave to serve a mission, I know that through this priesthood, I can be an instrument in the hands of God to help His children here on earth.
