Hi I'm Lindsay

I grew up in Utah, but love claiming my Canadian and German heritage, and love to explore new parts of the world! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn and explore new ideas, people, places and ways of thinking. I travel, ski, play sports, read books, go hiking, love music and the arts, and spend time with the people I love! I work in the community at a children's psychiatric unit and I am excited to begin graduate school pursuing a degree in School Psychology. My ideal day would be spent outside enjoying the sun with family or cuddled up inside with a book while listening to the rain.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the gospel makes me happy! The knowledge I have, that I have a Father in Heaven who knows me personally, who knows my struggles, my fears and doubts, my hopes and dreams is so comforting to me! I have peace while living my life because of the knowledge that God has a plan for me. Being a twenty something year old, living away from home, working full time and not knowing what exactly the future holds can be scary. It is scary! But that fear is swept away when I choose to include God in my life. When I choose to follow His teachings and believe his words my fears are smaller, my faith is greater, and my life is more enjoyable!

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by working with God's children. Life is full of challenges and I am able to work with kids who struggle in many ways. They have trouble seeing their self-worth, coping with hardships, finding a purpose in life, and knowing how to be happy. I teach these kids about finding happiness, from true lasting sources that will bring them joy. There are many, but I am grateful that the gospel of Jesus Christ is one of those sources of peace and happiness for me.
