Hi I'm Emma

I'm a friend. Missionary. Student. Sister. Most importantly, I know I am a daughter of God.

About Me

Hi friends, I'm Emma, and currently a missionary! I've chosen to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've been assigned to labor Arizona, where it gets as high as 120 degrees, the home of two major universities, native reservations, and home of the best people- I already know that! I'm from Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City. I am born to two loving parents and showed me how to live my faith. I was baptized at 8 years old by my dad. My mom and dad, when I reached the age of 12, took me to the Salt Lake temple for my first time to perform baptisms for the dead. Now, at the age of 19, I was able to go back with grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles to receive my own endowment at the Salt Lake temple. I have been privileged to always have a temple within 15 minutes of where I was living, crazy right? I grew up north of Salt Lake and moved south to attend Brigham Young University and Utah Vally University where I am studying Special Education.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because, simply, I'm happy. I was baptized at 8 years old which makes me a member for over 10 years now. Yes, I had to make sacrifices throughout my teenage years to keep my standards, but never once have I regretted my choice. I feel very lucky to have the knowledge that I do have of The Gospel. Ultimately, I am happiest when I pray to my Heavenly Father, read my scriptures, reach out to those in need, when I'm a friend, when I follow our dear prophet, when I'm obedient, and that's why I choose to be a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I believe in being the best I can be. My dad has always taught me to "go the extra mile," and that in itself makes me want to be better. I also believe in being an example. I strive to live my faith in accordance to the best example there is, Our Savior, Jesus Christ. I don't participate in activities that are not in harmony with the spirit. I'm modest in words and my clothing. I refrain from things that are harmful to my body, like drugs and alcohol. I try to always live my faith in alliance of the Savior, and hopefully by that, others will too.
