Hi I'm Hikari James

I am called to serve in the Japan Tokyo South Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year at Brigham Young University. My major is Neuroscience and I'm Pre-Med. My dad is in the military so we have lived in a lot of different places! Alaska, Japan, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Virginia, and now, Maryland. I love moving around and living in different places. I love long drives with the music turned up, hiking and swimming.

Why I am a Mormon

There comes a point in everyone's life when they have to take a step back and ask, "What do I believe? What do I know?" I have read the Book of Mormon; I have prayed about it. When I stopped and asked myself, "What do I believe? What do I know?" I knew (and know), without a shadow of a doubt, that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. This Church is the true Church. It brings me more happiness than I thought was possible, and I am dumbfounded every day by the sheer amount of love I feel from the Savior. That is why I am a Mormon. Because of His love. Because of the undeniable testimony I have received through prayer. The path to Him is never easy, but it is always worth it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by just trying to follow Jesus Christ's example. I'm not perfect, and I never will be, but as I try to be like Christ, I can show my love to others. I always try to go out of my way to see what I can do for even one person. If I can somehow bring one person happiness, I have lived that day to the fullest.
