Hi I'm Jarrin

I am a performer. I love to sing and play the piano. I love acting in musicals and plays and I am a Mormon

About Me

Right now i am getting ready to leave on a full time two year mission to Yakima Washington. I leave or have left on August 16th, 2016. I have always looked forward to going and serving a full time mission and am excited to go. Outside of church, I love to sing and perform in musicals and plays, I also enjoy Playing the piano and studying music. I grew up playing sports and trying different activities and quickly found my true interest to be in music and performance. In high school I changed focus from playing on the basketball team and golf team to playing the lead roles in two high school musicals and a play. I also then auditioned and participated in local theatrical productions from professional theaters in town. My love for music and performance has grown tremendously in the last three years and i hope to continue and study at BYU to make a career out of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read and studied the Book of Mormon and have found it to be true and that it testifies of Christ. My testimony since I was little has grown immensely because of the experiences offered by the church. I have prayed and studied from the scriptures and have come to know Heavenly Father personally. He has been a reliable foundation to stand on while in the confusing and enticing world we live in today. The only way to come to know Him and his gospel, is to ask him and study from his words.

How I live my faith

I live through my faith as a missionary. I was set apart on august fifteenth, and will serve for two years in Washington. I grew up going to church and learning about Heavenly father and Jesus Christ and try to strive to live as He would. I attended a very large high school and had a fairly small group of friends who believed as I do. This lead to many opportunities to share what I know about the gospel to fellow class mates and friends. I love music and performance and spent a lot of time in the choir and theater thought high school. This is where I was able to really share what I have learned in the church mainly by example, but also through discussions about the church. I grew up being apart of the churches youth program and have had the opportunity to be apart of The Boy Scouts of America. I have hiked to the summit of both Mt. Whitney and Mt. Langley by going to Young men's camp every summer. And have been able to go to EFY, which is a summer youth program that is Especially For Youth. It discusses the gospel and provides the youth with spiritual experiences.
