Hi I'm Daniel

I was born in Missouri and lived in Arkansas and Missouri. I am a convert to the church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Missouri.... I am currently learning Español at the México CCM or MTC for my mission in the Utah, Salt Lake City West mission. I love Marvel movies (especially Ironman). I'm a redneck. I love to coon (Racoon) hunt and trap, and I love to go catfishing. My family and I are very close evn though I am the only member of my family to join the church. And I am planning to attend Brigham Young University-Idaho after my mission. I'm going to major in pediatric nursing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I know the church is true and welcoming. I found the church when I was thirteen years old through a friend. He invited me to his house when the missionaries were coming over for a meal and lesson. I heard the missionaries tell the story of the Stripling Sons of Heleman, after that I had to hear more of this gospel. I asked the missionaries to teach me and my family, we recieved the gospel for over a year and a half. I was baptized in February of 2013. I want everyone to recieve the gospel as I have. That is why I am going on a mission so I can share my testimony and invite others to the gospel.

How I live my faith

I helped the missionaries teach investigators by sharing my conversion story. I've helped teach youth from our area. I always try to stay in a positive attitude to show others how happy I am. And the biggest way I live my faith is by living the Words of Wisdom, Law of Chasity, and the Law of Tithes. I am currently serving a Spanish speaking mission in Salt Lake City, Utah; To share the gospel of Jesus Christ and my joy of being a member of the church.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Daniel
Not all Mormons are required to serve missions, missions are completely voluntary, and up to the person serving. Usually people will serve a mission because they have a desire to serve others and their Heavenly Father, or because it is a tradition in their family. With me being the only member of my family that is a member of the church there is no one else that has served a mission. I chose to serve a mission because I know this gospel is true and I have a sincere desire to serve my God and assist other people. I also want to share the gospel with anyone who is willing to hear; And to show them the happiness that they can find in the true church of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
