Hi I'm Kamden

I love everything about the outdoors. I play volleyball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a home schooled student. To a lot of people this means that I am "anti-social", but I really feel like I haven't missed out on the social part of my childhood because of the church. I also played a lot of sports from Baseball, Basketball, and Volleyball. I even ran cross country, but actually broke my arm in a race, so I didn't go very far in that sport. I currently have been called to serve a mission to the Cape Verde Praia mission and will be serving on August 3rd 2016 for two years. After my mission, I will be attending college. I hope to play volleyball for Princeton and major in engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for one simple reason. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. This Church is his Church restored in these latter days. I have found as I have lived the Gospel that I have never felt such pure joy. The Gospel and this Church can bring more joy than anything else. It brings lasting happiness that can only be felt through the Spirit.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the commandments Christ has given me. This includes going to Church and participating in classes to learn of His Gospel. I also do everything I can to draw nearer unto Him outside of church as well. I read His word in the Bible, The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ, and other Revelations through His prophets. I pray to Him to receive guidance, comfort, and hope, but also just to talk to Him. I make sure I don't put anything into my body that would hurt what He has given me, which includes food, media, and thoughts. Right now, I am living my faith by serving my Heavenly Father. I am going to Cape Verde to teach others about the light and joy of the Gospel.
