Hi I'm Lawrence Chan

Talofa! My name is Lawrence Chan. I was born and raised in the beautiful Island of American Samoa. I’m blessed to be Polynesian.

About Me

I love to chill in my Hammock, and jam out to my uke. I love sports! Grew up playing rugby, it’s a normal thing growing up in the islands. Grew up watching my older brother play football and that’s what got my interest, and I loved football since then. After High School I was blessed with an opportunity to further my career, in football and got to play for a college in California. And I also came to love Country Music for the first time, and it’s amazing. I also got adopted by my sweet Palagi(WHITE) family that I love as much as I do my family back in Samoa. I’m the oldest in my Palagi Family and also my family back in Samoa. My Family is everything to me, and I love them all, I love my Family, they get the best of me. I’m going to miss them. I’m leaving for a Two-year Volunteer Mission as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I’ve been Called to Serve in the Alaska Anchorage Mission, Samoan Speaking. #AAM Aug16-Aug18

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that this is the true church of Jesus Christ that he established when he walked this earth. It is now been restored, just as how it was when he was on Earth, he was able to restore his church by calling a prophet just like he had done in the past, with Noah, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, And all those great prophets of old. He was able to call another Prophet to Restore his Church here on Earth, and He Called Joseph Smith and gave him the full authority to do so, and it is now once again here on earth.

How I live my faith

I have a calling in my ward as a teacher the Gospel Principles class, and also for the teachers Quorum. I help people to come closer to Christ. I know that we can find peace if we come to know our savior and have a personal relationship with him.
