Hi I'm Matt McKinnon

I grew up in Kaysville, Utah. I am called to serve in the Ecuador, Quito North mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and called to serve a mission in Ecuador. I enjoy reading, basketball, and hanging out with friends. I will go to BYU after my mission and study Statistics. I have 5 brothers and sisters, 3 older and 2 younger. All three of the older siblings are married.

Why I am a Mormon

I've chosen to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know it will let me be with my family forever. This church and gospel has brought me true and lasting joy knowing that all of my loved ones will be with me forever. The gospel protects me in my life when the world continues to decrease its standards. The safety and comfort that righteous living has brought to me is incomparable to anything I have ever experienced, and now i get the opportunity to share this joy to those who haven't heard about Christ or the Atonement. The Atonement is a sacred and special thing that has brought much joy into my life when trials have seemed overwhelming. The purifying and cleansing power, as well as the enabling power has blessed me when I choose to use it. I love this gospel and the joy that has come from it, and I cannot wait to share it with others!

How I live my faith

I am going to serve a mission in Ecuador. I home teach two families with my dad every month. I help teach youth in our ward often that are close to the same age as me. I have been on several committees and in leadership roles.
