Hi I'm Curtis Rounds

I was born and raised in Idaho. I am the 7th out of 8 children, and recently left to serve a mission in Oklahoma, USA

About Me

I enjoy all kinds of music. I like singing, playing the piano and playing the guitar. I love playing all kinds of sports, but mostly basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and want to continue to live the way that he wants me to live. I know that it is important to work towards being like Jesus Christ, who is our perfect example. Every day I work towards becoming more like Jesus Christ and living in a way that I can experience true happiness if I am faithful. I know that as we are baptized and start to follow Jesus Christ, we can feel true joy and peace in our lives.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving in the Oklahoma City Oklahoma mission for a period of 2 years. I absolutely love my time serving God and strive to live according to his teachings every single day.

What is the priesthood?

Curtis Rounds
The priesthood is the sacred authority God gives to His children to act in His name. All worthy male members of the church age 12 and older may receive this authority. The priesthood authority has existed throughout all time, and will continue to exist forever. We are able to be an instrument in the hands of God by living worthily and always seeking to bless others with this authority he has given to man. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Curtis Rounds
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and contains the fullness of His teachings, or gospel. The Book of Mormon teaches us about the nature of God, His plan for our happiness, and how we can return to live with Him. It teaches us about the love that God has for all of his children, everywhere in the world. The Book of Mormon follows the family of a prophet named Lehi, who comes from Jerusalem to the ancient Americas during the reign of Zedekiah, king of Judah, around 600 B.C. (compare to the book of "Jeremiah" in the Old Testament.) Lehi's family grows into a large civilization of peoples. As recorded by prophets throughout the duration of the Book of Mormon, it tells about God's dealings with these people in the ancient Americas. All in all, the Book of Mormon is a convincing witness to all of it's readers that Jesus is the Christ, and that He has once again called a prophet -just as Moses, Noah, or Lehi- to lead His people back to Him and our Father in Heaven. We can know of it's truth by reading, praying about, and pondering it's message to the world. Show more Show less
