Hi I'm Melany

I'm a university student. I'm alive, happy, and well. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fun loving girl that has studied Health Sciences at my university and I appreciate study breaks just as much as the next guy. My go-to activities range from shopping in the city center to hiking in a nearby mountain or simply laughing the night away with family and friends. I love socializing, whether on social media or in person, and take great delight in new friendships just as much as I treasure my old ones. I enjoy watching cooking shows, preparing meals for my loved ones, snuggling my golden retriever, and watching the sunset. I admire this wondrous world and believe there is much to be grateful for such as nature's beauty as well as our individually divine personalities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have individually recognized the immense measure of happiness I receive from the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know, for myself, that this is Christ's Church and that it is the only organization on this earth that holds the Priesthood Keys, which are so significant in the leadership of the General Authorities. I was very blessed to have been born in a family of righteousness, whom was sealed in the Temple. I know of the blessings of following God's commandments and devoting one's life to this Gospel - I have witnessed them time after time and can muster a humble testimony that the utmost blessings of pure happiness can only be attained by way of membership in Christ's Church. My heart greatly delights in the truth of the Book of Mormon and is grateful for the Restoration of the Church, by which we are now able to receive the blessings of the Restored Gospel. In short, I am a Mormon because being such brings happiness, peace, joy, and hope to my life. I know that we are greatly blessed as we follow the Lord's commandments and have faith in His Atonement, by which we can all receive the blessings of peace through life's frequently tumultuous times.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Sunday School Gospel Principles teacher and love it! It has been an blessed opportunity to learn more about the sacredness and purity of God's commandments as well as the covenants we make with Him. I have come to know more of the dear Brethren's love for us as I've studied the inspiring lessons that have been modeled for an increase in our knowledge and understanding of the Gospel. God loves us and is so anxious for us to learn more of Him and I feel very blessed to have witnessed this sentiment throughout my calling. I have additionally accepted a calling to serve as a full-time missionary in the Arizona Tempe Mission and am so very excited to begin my service this month. The Gospel is sweet and full of happiness and peace and has inspired me to the point of personally deciding to serve my Lord. I only hope to assist in the hastening of the work of salvation and trust that God will guide me through this sacred calling.
