Hi I'm Franklin Hughes

Called to serve in the Nicaragua, Managua North Mission. I am a Mormon, and I love it.

About Me

I grew up in a small town known as Blythe, Ca. until I was 17 and moved back to Huntington Beach Ca. I love animals, I raised and showed in competition 4 pigs and 1 steer. My most favorite job I have ever had was when I was employed at a mortuary. I am an Eagle Scout and very proud of that accomplishment. I have been a lifeguard, worked at a movie theatre, and worked under a construction general contractor. I was heavily involved in the school spirit organizations in my high school. I had numerous titles in the ASB program at my school but, my favorite was the title of "The Voice of PVHS" where I was the announcer and host for all school activities. I love to surf and be in the water. My most favorite place in the world is my river house in Parker, Az. I love movies. My favorite topic in school was seminary.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon makes me happy. I have had the opportunity to do a lot in my life, but nothing has ever brought me as much joy as being a member of His church. I love it, and I know it to be true. Everything about it just makes sense, and works so perfectly. I love this gospel and I know, with every fiber of my being, that it is true. I know beyond any shadow of doubt that Heavenly Father is real and He loves me. I know I am His son. I know that Jesus Christ, the only begotten, is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. He suffered, bled, and died so that I may return to live in celestial glory, with Him, and my Father in Heaven once more. I know the Holy Ghost, the third member of the God-Head, is a real being, and that through him, I can know the truth of all things. I have a strong testimony of the Temple. I know it is the house of the Lord here upon the Earth and that that through it, families can be sealed for time and all eternity. I love the Holy Scriptures and I am so thankful for the guidance they have provided for me in my life. They are true. I know Joseph Smith is a true prophet of the lord who reestablished the true church. I sustain, fully, the Prophet, and all other Priesthood leaders of this church. I am thankful for them and their wonderful service. I have a testimony of the Priesthood. I know it is the power of God here upon the Earth. I know it can perform mighty miracles. All my life I have had the strongest desire to serve a mission and invite all others to come unto Christ. I am blessed with the opportunity to serve a mission beginning on August 3, 2016 in the Nicaragua, Managua North Mission.

How I live my faith

I love my church. I have actively been attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. I attended four years of seminary in High School. I have served in many callings including President of youth quorums and Family History Youth Consultant. I love speaking in church and being able to share what I know to be true to others. I love attending devotional, classes, and lectures that have to do with my church.
