Hi I'm Trev Jones

I was born in Texas. I love spending time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have loving parents and three siblings who are all sisters. They mean so much to me and help me in strengthening my faith, confidence, and ability to care for others. I have a few different hobbies that definitely make life worth living! I love to sing and enjoy the benefits of music. I can't imagine a world without music to build us up and give us inspiration. I sang in choir all throughout high school and look forward to singing throughout the course of my life when opportunities arise. I also love sports-watching and playing. I am a big NBA fan and love to watch basketball and football. My favorite sport to play is tennis. There is something about competing that motivates me to be the best I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel means everything to me. My life so far has been very positive and I attribute much of that to the blessings of following the principles and commandments that it teaches. I don't go to church because my parents make me go to church. I go because I know that it will always uplift my spirit and draw me nearer to my eternal creator. This gospel is one of happiness and that is all that comes from it. Who wouldn't want that? The foundational piece of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon was written to help us specifically in this time period. It has stories that can inspire and change others for the better. It is a powerful book that has changed my life and so many before me. It has the potential to change anyone's life if they simply let it. It requires great faith, but when that faith is exercised, answers will come. The Holy Spirit will testify to you of the truth. I am thankful for the central role that Jesus Christ is to this gospel. We continually try to emulate Him and His teachings. I find joy knowing that He watches over and cares for each and every one of His children. This is a church of hope, and I look forward to sharing that throughout my life!

How I live my faith

I attend church for three hours every Sunday. There is always a feeling of belonging and happiness there. In addition to attending church, I along with many of the fellow young men my age serve others after church by bringing our sacred sacramental bread and water to the homebound and sick. We find great joy in helping others to belong and see this as not a burden, but an opportunity to show how much we care. By doing this, I hope to become more like Christ.
