Hi I'm Charice

I'm a BYU Cougar. Music is my life. Serving as a missionary in Brazil. My God is good. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm so happy I could just give life a big hug! I grew up a military brat, my Dad being in the Air Force, and moved around the States my whole childhood. I am the middle child of 5, and have the best brothers and sisters and parents in the world. I study music education at Brigham Young University. Flute is my main instrument, but I also love jamming on ukulele, piano, harmonica, piccolo, trumpet, and other instruments. I have been a temple worker in the Provo Utah temple and the San Antonio Texas temple and loved it!! I went on a humanitarian trip to Manaus, Brazil when I was in high school, then was completely surprised when I opened my mission call a year later and was called back to Brazil, to the Fortaleza East mission! I love jumping in puddles, I own about 18 pairs of fuzzy socks, I could listen to jazz 24/7 if time allowed, I still play with legos, and I love playing with my amazing yorkie dog Sparticus. I love my God and strive every day to draw closer to Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know why I am here. I am here on earth, living my life, so I can be tried and tested and prove I want to live with my Heavenly Father again someday. I am a Mormon because that is what I love. I have discovered for myself the truthfulness of this church. Even though I was brought up with parents who were already members, I have had my own conversion. By partaking of the word of God and LIVING my beliefs, I have seen goodness come into my life and a happiness beyond my own. I know God loves me. I know Christ suffered for my sins and He lives today. I do not know, and I do not want to know where I would be without the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in my life.

How I live my faith

I attend church activities and worship services weekly. It has become the focus of my week, instead of a chore. The wonderful friends I have made strengthen me and my faith, and I strive to help them also. I work with the youth, organizing activities and serving or helping each other out. I also live my faith my daily studying the gospel and Christ's life, and working my hardest to always smile and always love.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Everything! There is much sorrow and pain in our world today, but more goodness and light! If one looks hard enough, you can find God in every aspect of your life and the world around you. Here is some things I have seen as proof that there is a God: Families! How beautiful it is that we have families, people who love and care about us. Scriptures! There is a whole book that testifies of God, filled with stories, testimonies, and signs. Prophets! Through the whole bible there are those called to lead people with God's direction, that is proof God loves us and sends people to direct and help. This beautiful Earth! Every creation is beautiful and divine. God is everywhere! We just have to open our eyes. He has already laid out so much proof. Show more Show less
