Hi I'm Andrew

I've grown up across the United States. I know the Lord loves me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my family, I am the youngest of three children. I have two older sisters and my mom and dad. I am now serving a mission in the Philippines and I am excited to help the people of the Philippines to come to know the love that Christ has for them and how they can return to be with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I graduated from high school just before I began my mission, and when I return I plan to begin college to study medicine. I've enjoyed learning about the human body in high school and it has helped me to see how amazing our Lord is and his power to create such an amazing gift, that he gave one to each of us to help us learn. I love spending time outdoors and in the mountains. My favorite things to do in the outdoors are backpacking and fly fishing. Ever since I was young I've enjoyed it and it gives me time to relax and unwind. When I am out fishing in the mountains, it gives me a chance to put away the distractions around me live social media and the internet and to listen to the Spirit and ponder the things the Lord needs me to know and understand.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My mother was a convert to the gospel when she was a teenager, and because of that choice I now am a part of an eternal family with parents who love me and have taught me the truth of the gospel and its importance in my life. Her conversion has directly impacted my life to be member of the Lord's gospel. I know that the Lord has unconditional love for me and all of his children which helps me to know that I am important and that I have a purpose here on earth. The savior loves all of his children. Families are the central unit of the gospel and are so very important and crucial to His plan of Happiness. Through His atonement we can be made clean again and through following his commandments we can one day return to live with him again eternally sealed to our families. The Book of Mormon is a strength in my life and has become an incredible teacher to me of the Lord and his will for each one of us. It teaches truths of ancient prophets and peoples who worked to keep his commandments. The Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ and his life here on earth. He then atoned for our sins so he could be the mediator between justice and each one of us. His love was so great that he suffered that we might be with him again. Each one of us is a child of God and wants us to be with him again.

How I live my faith

I love to attend church each week where I have an opportunity to partake of the sacrament where I can renew covenants I've made with my Heavenly Father and recommit to the promises I've made. Sunday is a day I can devote to the Lord where he can help me to continue to learn about the gospel and to hear the things that will help me to become a better person and follower of Christ. I have held callings as a youth leader of my youth group and have also been a family history consultant. In this role I have been able to help individuals to learn about their ancestors and to help them receive blessings from the Lord that they didn't have the opportunity to receive and be a member of the Lord's church. I have the tremendous blessing of having a temple close by that I attend to feel of the Lord's love and spirit and where I can learn about his plan for us, where we came from, and the great blessings he has in store for everyone.
