Hi I'm Hannah

I'm from a small town in Idaho. I love to be active and hike mountains. I'm always up for a game of basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One day I hope to be a kindergarten teacher. I absolutely love being surrounded by the imaginative minds and loving personalities children naturally have. I have participated in sports for as long as I can remember and cannot imagine life without the competitive streak I was born with. From basketball to Monopoly I play to win. I love to be out in nature hiking tall mountains and accomplishing what I once thought to be impossible. It's freeing to know I can conquer anything I put my mind to.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me peace and comfort. I cannot even fathom what I would do without the stability of the gospel. I was blessed to be born in a family that follows the teachings of Christ, but I, like many others, had to find the truth for myself. While it was nice, and might I add, easy, to base my testimony on the beliefs of my parents, I knew that if I didn't put forth the effort, my faith wouldn't grow and my testimony would dwindle. When I was a freshman in high school my beliefs were put to the test when my wonderful religion teacher asked us a simple question: "Do you know the Book of Mormon is true?" I was shocked by the lack of response I was able to give. I had read it before, or rather skimmed it. I felt I knew the stories well, but did I really KNOW the Book of Mormon was written by Prophets of old and was found and translated by Joseph Smith? That night I created a plan of action. I would read, ponder, and honestly ask my Father in Heaven if this church was true. The Book of Mormon was just the beginning to the restoration of the church and I knew if I didn't have a solid testimony on that, then my progression in the gospel would be cut short. I know the gospel was restored by Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is true and contains teachings from our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that Christ atoned for me making it possible to return to my Father's presence. I know that we can find eternal happiness when we center our lives on Christ and follow the commandments. I truly believe that obedience to God's laws brings liberty and the more we live faithfully, the more God will bless us. I love this gospel with all my heart and would do anything for my Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving others and being ready to serve. Sometimes all people need is a friendly smile. At church I have the oppurtunity to help others come unto Christ. I am apart of the missionary committee reaching out to those who are ready to hear about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have found that I can better serve others when I love them, and when I serve them my love for them grows even more. I want people to be as happy as I am, and I know that true happiness comes from centering your life on the Savior. I will do everything in my power to share the gospel. "Dare to be a Mormon. Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a purpose firm. Dare to make it known." -Thomas S. Monson
