Hi I'm Julianne Hill

I'm a golfer. A fashionista. An optimist. A sister missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from the great state of West Virginia, but currently residing in sunny, southern California as a full-time missionary. I am a fanatic of golfing, running, hiking, and shopping. Kit-kats or Hershey Almond Kisses is the quickest way to my heart. I am a huge lover of nature and all the beauty this world has to offer. It has always been a dream of mine to go travel the world and visit different countries and learn of their cultures--to see all of God's creations and wonders. Any of the things mentioned above will put a smile on my face, but the laughter and smiles of kids is what really melts my heart! I am a proud aunt of 5 (4 nephews and 1 niece)! But I have left my family for 18 months so that I can bring other families together forever.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is hard. We do not believe in drinking alcohol, coffee, or tea. We avoid any and all harmful substances and drugs that can thwart our bodies. We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman and that sexual relations are sacred and only between husband and wife. Because of our beliefs, they contradict the beliefs of the world today and we as members and the church as a whole have been attacked for it. But as a member of this wonderful church, I know that I can be with my family for time and all eternity. I am Mormon because it brings happiness and peace to my heart. Gospel means "good news" and who doesn't want to hear good news?! I choose to live the way I do because it is freedom. I am Mormon because I know this church to be true. And I can not deny something that is true.

How I live my faith

"Actions speak louder than words" is a very true phrase. As a member of the LDS church I know that there are people who watch what I do. One thing that I have always loved to do is serve others. My ward has had various service projects and activities that I always try and help out in. For example, one year we decided to clean up an older cemetery for the city that had been neglected for awhile. We pulled weeds, cut down dead trees, mowed, and racked up leaves. It was hard work but so much fun. And not only did members from the church participate, but community members as well. I know that what we were able to help accomplish was very appreciated. Service has always been an act of our Savior, Jesus Christ. When I am able to serve others I am closer to becoming more like Him.
