Hi I'm Caden

I love learning about pretty much anything. I am currently serving a 2-year mission in Argentina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-Day Saints in Argentina. My whole life I have been preparing for this moment. In High School I played marching-tenor drums and competed in math. I also ran track and cross-country. After my mission in 2018, I plan to go to college and get a degree in something math related. Above all, I love to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Good question, and I've asked it many times myself. There have been many cases when being a member of the LDS faith has been inconvenient or trying. I have always known there was a God. I was born and raised in the Church, but had the same concerns and doubts as everyone else. A series of spiritual experiences I have had while living the Gospel and reading the Book of Mormon has compounded into a solid testimony of the church. I will say there was a point when I really was going through a hard time and questioned the church. As I have been prayerful, patient, penitent, and persistently sought for answers, I have gained even more knowledge and conviction. I thank Heavenly Father for my doubts, because they have helped my testimony grow since I was patient. The Church brings blessings and happiness, I have seen it. I choose to stay a Mormon because I have gained a witness by the Spirit that this is what I need to be doing, that there is a work greater than myself, and that this is His Church.

How I live my faith

Every morning before school I would wake up and go to an early morning scripture study class. This was a great way to start my day. I lived my standards in school, including not swearing, drinking coffee or tea, or otherwise participating in events that would be inappropriate. I try to help the youth in my ward as much as possible and be a good example to them. Every Wednesday Night or a few years I have gone on splits with our church missionaries, meaning I tag along and get experience finding and teaching people. This has really grown my testimony of the Savior and His love for everyone, as well as my testimony of His Gospel. Living my faith is very important to me.
