Hi I'm Kenny Schloemer

I was raised in Mobile, Alabama. I'm a high school graduate. I was in JROTC. I can run a 6.5 minute mile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old. I have a pet snake named Taz. In high school I was in the JROTC. I enjoyed the PT and drill competitions. I received several scholarships and awards to seven different Universities across the Nation but I chose to put that aside for two years to serve a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I have always wanted to serve a mission. I started saving for my mission when I was baptized at 8 years old. One of the fondest memories I have growing up was inviting the missionaries into our home for dinner.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and that Jesus Christ is my Savior. Through prayer I have received confirmation that the Book of Mormon was written by prophets and translated by Joseph Smith who was called of God to do His work. I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Growing up I was part of the youth leadership for my church. This meant I helped plan activities and invite other boys my age to our activities. I participated in the Boy Scout of America program and received the rank of Life Scout. During the holidays my family set time aside each holiday season to prepare meals and feed the homeless on Thanksgiving and Christmas mornings. Living in the South I was able to help with Hurricane and Natural Disaster Storm clean up. These service opportunities helped show the importance of giving your time to others and following the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
