Hi I'm Daniel Jimenez

I live in Reno, Nevada. I love sports and the outdoors. I'm a brother, son, uncle, and friend. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I recently graduated high school with honors. I participated in football and track. I have a niece and a nephew. I am preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Praia, Cape Verde. I am very excited for this opportunity to serve and share my faith. After my mission I will be returning to college and I will play football. I'm interested in receiving an MBA and pursuing the business world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born in church. My parents were converted and baptized while they were living in Puerto Rico starting our family. Although I was born into the church I still needed to find these things true for myself in order to have the desire to keep attending and eventually serve a mission. I came to know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows me. He gave his son Jesus Christ, because of that love, to the world so that we would have the means to be able to repent and life with them again. I know that Christ revealed that truth again in present day to a true prophet, Joseph Smith. I know that the same church that existed in the times of Jesus Christ has been restored again to the earth and it provided the power and authority to seal families together for eternity. I know that the prophets of today receive revelation from Jesus Christ for all of us in order to become better and survive spiritually in a very troubled world. This Church has brought my family and I so much joy and I can't wait to have a family of my own where the same truth exists. Our Heavely Father knows every single one of us personally and Jesus Christ suffered for our sins. This church is true and a way is set for everyone who has a pure desire to find out for themselves.

How I live my faith

Because my family speaks Spanish we had opportunities to serve as a family in callings. We were called to start a Spanish speaking group in an area near us which gave many opportunities for service and missionary work. I serve as a leader in the youth and was able to plan activities and organize duties. During our second calling in a Spanish speaking group I was assigned to teach a group of men, in Spanish. Throughout my youth I participated in Boy Scouts, camp outs, and other activities. I am an Eagle Scout and served as a leader in my troop
