Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in The Beehive State. I teach 4th grade. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love hiking and yoga. I enjoy music although I'm not musically talented. I gave up piano after seven years to pursue dancing. I LOVE to dance, but I wish I would've stuck with piano. Live and learn, right? I am the youngest of seven children, so family gatherings are lively and full of love. Teaching children is my passion. Although the job isn't always ideal, the profession is. Children are the closest to God, so they see with more pure eyes than we do as adults. Even though I'm surrounded by "the greatest snow on Earth," I have never hit the slopes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know my life is at its fullest with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The world takes and takes and doesn't give anything back. This gospel brings peace, purpose, direction, good works, individual worth, faith, hope, charity. What I love most about being a member of this church is the perfect knowledge I have of the LOVE that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for me and for you despite my faults and failures. In this world, value is placed on riches, fame, and outward appearance. I am loved because I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father who loves me. He loves me for my small acts of kindness. He loves me for my weaknesses. He shows me my weaknesses and then helps turn them to strengths. I am a Mormon because I know Christ offered up His life for me and for you. He felt our pain, heartache, loneliness, disappoint, discouragement, sin, and sadness we have ever experienced and will experience. He died and was resurrected so that I can be with my family once again. Death is not the end. I cannot wait to see my Savior's face once again. I am a Mormon because I know that following Christ and living the gospel brings me peace and hope in a world of turmoil and despair.

How I live my faith

Currently I help watch over the young single adult women ages 18-30 as a Relief Society President. As I live close to the Spirit by striving to live a Christ-centered life, I am able to receive inspiration about these beautiful women. A thought might come into my head to call Kaitlyn or deliver cookies to Rachel--never have I been disappointed when I choose to follow a prompting and serve others.
